EPXC Summer Training

An essential part of preparing for success in distance running is to build a strong base of fitness by running and training during the summer months. Our team trains throughout the summer, meeting as a team five days a week and offering opportunities for cross training (see summer training booklet below). We also take our team on a long weekend overnight “team camp” at the end of the summer to come together as a team, set goals, and prepare for the season. All summer training is done at no cost to the athlete and while attendance is not mandatory, it will strongly benefit all who participate and will factor into the decision of who receives an invitation to our cross country team camp in August.
